Bedford Stuyvesant not only has some of the most beautiful brownstones in Brooklyn, it also has some of the most interesting businesses. I did a wonderfully original ceremony at the Skylight Art Gallery in Restoration Plaza on Fulton Street on the first Saturday in November. The couple were an amazing duo of college professors. They met and work at Medgar Evers College in Crown Heights. We had one of our meetings at Medgar Evers and there was a wonderful hopeful spirit in the air at Medgar Evers that was very comforting and soothing to me. Congratulations to Larry & Jemma...

I was fortunate enough to officiate for a wonderful couple at Jane's Carousel in Brooklyn. Right behind the carousel is the most amazing promenade with dreamy views of Manhattan. The couple set the mood with a violinist and guitar duo and luckily the rain held off until we were through. The reception was at Rebar, also in Dumbo and to say it was an amazing event, is to say the least!

Being part of an interfaith couple is not easy but then who said any marriage is easy? My husband is Muslim and I am Christian. Were both pretty open in terms of our world views so we didn't think it would be a big deal to be a family of 2 faiths. My parents are deceased so I didn't have to deal with their views or feelings on the issue but my husbands parents are alive and they weren't thrilled he was marrying a non Muslim. Over time and once I met them and more importantly once they met their grand daughter, they came around...but to all interfaith couples who are looking for an Officiant who understands, I'm here.

Dumbo love story

I had the pleasure of officiating at the wedding of two wonderful people, Masa and Matt last night at Bubby's in Dumbo. From the moment I began emailing with them I knew they were very special and I also knew I had to be a part of their love story. Congratulations Masa and Matt!

I will be doing a ceremony at Bubby's in DUMBO in June and one at Janes Carousel in October! Life is good! I love Brooklyn weddings!

I am so excited! Wedding season is here again. I will be performing a wedding ceremony at Bubby's in DUMBO. There's nothing like being in DUMBO in warm weather with the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park and of course the skyline. That area feels like vacation in the summer to me!

I can't believe Beyonce is finally pregnant! It's a great thing to see she and her husband looking so happy...
I am so looking forward to marrying a wonderful couple this Satuday, September 3rd, 2011 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. It's such a beautiful place to get married, right there on the water in Brooklyn. I hope Irene hasn't damaged the water front. I guess I'll see on Saturday! My couple is very cool and interesting too.
